Laser Treatments

At Marcus Medical Spa, we use IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) treatment to effectively treat Melasma and photoaged skin.  The process is called photorejuvenation and is designed to remove age spots (sun-induced freckles), benign brown pigments such as those caused by Melasma, and redness caused by broken capillaries.  The procedure requires no downtime and has a low risk of side effects.

Marcus Medical Spa is one of the few places in Redondo Beach that offers Fraxel laser treatments under a doctor's supervision.  The Fraxel laser treatment is designed to deliver smoother, healthier, younger looking skin.  It is a safe, non-invasive skin treatment that removes years from your appearance without the risk, side effects or prolonged downtime of other procedures.

Oh those veins!  We all have them, and yes, we need some of them.  But if you're one of the millions of Americans tired of looking at those unsightly patches of red, blue, green, or purple webs of veins usually found on the upper or lower legs, we have good news for you!  At Marcus Medical Spa, we offer a couple different treatments to remove veins, depending on what you need.

Laser hair removal is a safe and permanent way to put an end to unsightly razor burn, stubble, chemical burns, rashes, and other disadvantages of many hair removal procedures.  At Marcus Medical Spa we can help you get rid of that unwanted hair with a simple series of laser hair treatments.  Our state-of-the-art Gold Standard Lumenis LightSheer laser uses high–intensity light energy to target pigment found in the hair shaft kill the hair follicle. 

Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) is a treatment done by our doctors that uses light to activate a medication to get rid of acne and attack actinic keratosis or pre cancerous lesions.  In the case of acne, 80% improvement after 2 treatments is common.  For precancerous skin, dramatic reduction in lesions and 60% reduced development of new skin cancers occurs after 2-3 treatments.
